Let Go

Let Go Let God

As children bring their broken toys with tears for us to mend,
I took my broken dreams to God because He was my friend.

Then, instead of leaving Him in peace to work alone,
I hung around and tried to help in ways that were my own.

At last I snatched them back and cried,
"How could YOU be sooo slow"

"My child, what could I do? You never did let go."

I read this as a child and its stuck with me. Lovely words. And very true at least for me. Dunno who wrote it though.
