Okay toh aajkal mujhe bahut advice mil rahi hai. Phone par, sms mein, email par, chats mein, padosis se and even my maid decided the other day to join the "give surabhi advice free of cost" club. I mean I have nothing against advices. During most times I love to give them myself. Corner me any time of the day or night if u will (considering I am a recently converted insomniac)and I would dish it out to you by the dollops.
Advice on marriage, love, life, therapy, girls, guys, money or lack of it, TV programs, why wont she love me?, why wont he leave me?.. anything and i am ready, well set to be of assistance. But this is were my love fest with advice ends. While I love giving it, somehow getting it back in more quantity than desired doesnt really make me a happy girl. And I for one like me to be a 'happy girl'.
I mean kal ki baat le lo. I was trying to find the way from hyd. central to city centre. Its actually a 5 min. distance but if u happen to be geographically challenged like me you wud know most 5 min distances have the potential of turning into 30 mins of aimless driving and cursing. So to be safer I decided to stop and ask a 'bhala manas' for directions. Bas iss baar toh solicit hi kari thi advice. Nice guy gave me 3 diff. ways of reaching the place and then proceeded to discuss with another passerby who had stopped out of the goodness of his heart and clean curiosity that only Indians possess(DEKHEN CHAL KYA RAHA HAI) the best of way of reaching considering the traffic and time of the day. Then further as I was leaving told me to be careful kyonki checking ho rahi hai aaj kal. Elections hain naa- added the other gentleman not wanting to be left behind.
Khair ache log the..main 15 min. mein paunch gayi..Sirf ek wrong turn liye. Anyway point of the story is..khair koi point nahi hai..kaafi pointless thi..par haan mera thought process yeh tha .ki abb kuch kosmic balance hona chahiye..bahut free advice le li..abb thodi deni chahiye..toh here is some free addvice from moi for all u bachcha bachchis out there:
1. Dont take every advice at face value.
2. Always tip the waiters- generously
3. Be nice to ppl esp. to ones you dont have to be nice to.
4. Have a clean handkerchief with you always
5. Always rber your courtsies - thk us and sorries
6. Save
7. Teach ur children some manners
8. Dont be cruel to animals
9. Always let the lady have the last piece of the cake :)
10. Own a good library and read. (classics they say are books ppl buy but never read)
11. Never flinch office supplies
12. Always carry some mint
13. Never leave dishes in the sink and go to bed.
14. be the first to apologise in all fights...ESP. when u r NOT in the wrong :)
15. call ur mum
